ABSTRACT
The article discusses the central benefits and mission of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PDA). Founded in 1946, the PVA is the only congressionally chartered veterans service organization that provides special needs of the veterans of the armed forces who have experienced spinal cord injury. PVA continues to be the leading advocate for quality and accessible health care in research and education addressing spinal cord injury, and civil rights which maximize opportunities of its members.
