ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Xinjiang Oil Co. in Mainland China to deploy the Panasas ActiveScale Storage Cluster from Panasas Inc. Panasas is providing high performance storage to Xinjiang Oil Co. through a partnership with ModernTech Computer & Peripheral Ltd. to help improve the reliability, increase scalability and reduce overall information technology costs at the facility of the company in western China with Linux cluster networks. The reasons for selecting and deploying the Panasas Storage Cluster is discussed.
