This article discusses the construction of the Little Red School House of the Little Red School House and Elisabeth Irwin High School in New York City. The building brings the school more directly into the Greenwich Village community. An overview of the design of the building is given. The architects provided the structural capacity for the school to grow slightly beyond the means and boundaries envisioned when they began.
