ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the increase in the number of British people who adopt vegetarianism as discussed at a meeting of the Forum on Food and Health of the Royal Society of Medicine in London, England in November 1985. Doctor T. A. B. Sanders of King's College presented evidence that traditional British and North European vegetarians are healthy people. Doctor Celia Williams of the University of Surrey said that those vegetarians who are devoted to macrobiotic diets are at risk of nutritional deficiency.
