The article comments on some classical music performances in New York City in March of 1962. Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra have performed at the Carnegie Hall and introduced Peter Tchaikovsky's so-called Seventh Symphony to the New York public. A program performed by Leopold Stokowski and the New York Philharmonic included Dimitri Shostakovich's classic Fifth Symphony and Vaugham Williams' "Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis."
