March 1962
New Yorker;3/10/1962, Vol. 38 Issue 3, p29
The article offers some observations concerning life and events in the United States. A peaceful coexistence was noted outside the U.S. State Department auditorium in Washington when a telephone booth assigned to Tass news agency and the one assigned to the "Wall Street Journal" are situated side by side. A sign bearing a representation of the cross and the legend "Clergy" was seen on the windshield of a Mercedes-Benz sports car in a no-parking area on New York City's West 43rd.
