ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the origin of the term love in a tennis match based on "Norfolk & Portsmouth Ledger-Dispatch & Star." The term came from the French word Poeuf which means egg or zero. It was spelled love when the sport came to England from France. The author comments that it is a mistake to bring anything to England.
