From Health to Peace in Afghanistan -- the Story So Far

The article discusses the social and psychological disturbances in Afghanistan as a result of the invasion of the U.S. and its allies and the current guerilla war in the south of the country. It mentions several conflicts between Afghans of various orientations such as the conflict between moderate and fundamentalist Moslems. It offers information on a workshop conducted by a team of public health personnel which aimed to evaluate the mental health and peace education components in the country.
