ABSTRACT
The article features the "Aristotle Contemplating the Bust of Homer," a painting by Rembrandt, which was displayed at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. The artwork is said to cost the museum $2.3 million at an auction. Director James J. Rorimer spoke about the value of the painting and for purchasing it for such an amount. Curator Theodore Rousseau Jr. commented on the concept of the painting.
