ABSTRACT
The article provides information on stores in New York City that offer quality clothing and accessories. The store owned by Elaine Starkman at Bleecker Street has suits that are both town and country, black cotton shantung and slender skirts. The Hanlan shop at Greenwich Avenue offers bell-bottom trousers and hot-weather dresses. The Phoenix-Pan American Imports at Lexington Avenue has street-length ponchos that can be pulled over bathing suits.
