ABSTRACT
The article considers a trip by architects Walter Gropius and Pietro Belluschi and sculptor Richard Lippold with New York investment builder, Erwin S. Wolfson to a planned building in New York. The building would be named after one of its tenants, the Pan American World Airways. A conversation revolving around Lippold's sculpture to be purchased by Pan American President Juan Trippe is presented.
