The article focuses on the proposal of Cuban President Fidel Castro to barter 1,214 prisoners for 500 high-powered U.S.-made tractors announced at the Agricultural Fair in Rancho Boyeros in south of Havana. The president relates that the Spanish government traded the captured soldiers of French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte for pigs. He mentions that farmers will benefit from the plan. The president acknowledges the high value of human life.
