The article deals with the musical "Gypsy." The musical is the autobiography of Rose Lee. It opened in 1959. The play presents Lee who appeared in a tight, V-necked black gown and long white gloves. Walking about the stage, in accompaniment to music she divests herself of her wrap and gloves, reaches breathtakingly far into her bosom pulls out a pair of glasses and read a mass of notes that tells that she is about to see a home movie of her life.
