The article discusses the repercussions of telecommunication company megamergers. Some of the benefits involved with company mergers like Verizon and MCI are financial stability and broader carrier product portfolios. Other perks involved include increased wireless integration and investment dollars as well as easier technology decisions. While benefits are plentiful, higher long-term prices and profit pressures continue to plague companies. Internal organization issues such as merging sales departments can also shake up a business.
