ABSTRACT
The article comments on the refusal of the Algerian rebels to send another cease-fire delegation to France, citing the Algerians earlier acceptance of President Charles de Gaulle's June 14th offer to discuss an honorable end to the war. The meeting was held at Melun outside Paris between the president of France and Algerian emissary, Maitre Ahmed Boumendjel, a former Paris lawyer who speaks French better than Arabic who only lately joined the rebels in exile.
