ABSTRACT
The article comments on reports that Linnean Society members have spotted a yellow-nosed albatross in Freeport, New York. One member, Richard Edes, described the experience as sensational. He said that "the sight of the albatross was probably as great a thrill as he has ever had in the field of ornithology.
