ABSTRACT
The article discusses the controversy about the presidency of Republican candidate John Fitzgerald Kennedy at the age of forty three in New York. The Democrats claimed that Kennedy was too young for the presidential position while Kennedy and his supporters believed that various men in history became popular statesmen at that age. Some presidents who were elected to office before the age of 50 were offered.
