ABSTRACT
The article reports on the problem faced by the new standard methods of measuring and reporting the performance of 16 millimeter sound film projectors. The standard, published by the International Electrotechnical Commission, had been assessed by informal approaches. This should have been expected to be dealt within other international standards body like International Organization for Standardization (ISO), particularly by the ISO technical Committee 36, Cinematography.
