ABSTRACT
The article reports that Philips & Du Pont Optical (PDO) has denied press reports that its compact disc will self destruct or fade out after eight years of use. Managing director consumer media of PDO worldwide, Leon Vogels, claimed that they have done extensive research and testing on their compact disc, including artificial ageing to guarantee high quality and durable products.
