ABSTRACT
Information about several topics discussed at the 12th Plenary meetings of Technical Committee 42 of the International Organization for Standardization held on October 15-22, 1987 in Beijing, China is presented. Among the topics discussed is a thorny item concerning controversy between the use of a fullpoint and comma for designating decimals was raised.
