ABSTRACT
The article presents several caricature with captions about what happened when the trains stopped in New York City. 47 people gathered waiting for the fifth scheduled train to appear. Lewis Fisher, member of the Republican Town Committee had a conversation about the day with her neighbor Lloyd Lefcourt. Willis Palmer, a commuter realized the trains were not going to arrive and walked slowly to toward his Plymouth station wagon.
