ABSTRACT
The article presents a perspective on a publicity concerning the sponsorship of the Texaco Inc. oil company in broadcasting the performances of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. According to the author, the company has never lost sight of the fact that it finances a lot more in value than the things it sells to the public.
