ABSTRACT
The article cites the advantages of a Dolby E in sound production. Dolby Labs' Jim Hilson states that Dolby E was designed to produce 5.1-channel mixes from point to point. It is also a video editing-friendly that it can be saved on tape in the video signal and modified along with the picture. Moreover, another advantage is that the metadata mechanically accompanies the signal as it is encoded and decoded.
