ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the ways to prevent hearing disorders and the efforts of the sound industry in response to the problem. The author cites that basing on several studies, high noise levels alongside with prolonged listening can damage ones hearing. Responding to it, Apple's products has limited its maximum volume levels, while Sony has hearing-loss warning on its products. Moreover, engineers Fred Catero and Keith Olsen gave their suggestions for sound recorders to avoid hearing problems.
