ABSTRACT
The article discusses the concern of New Zealand's Green Party toward the use of chemicals in the country which is quickly depleting the ozone layer. The political party blamed methyl bromide, an odourless gas used to control pest problems, as the main source of the ozone-depletion problem. The Green Party highlighted that use of the chemical has increased by 50% between 1996 and 2004.
