ABSTRACT
The article presents information on RS-485/ RS-422 IEC61000 ESD-protected transceivers developed by Intersil Inc. These transceivers support a 20Mbit/s data transmission rate. Most of the products from Intersil are developed to provide a high degree of reliability in both manufacturing and consumer applications. This removes the need for external protection circuitry.
