ABSTRACT
The article discusses the importance of engaging a public relations (PR) firm and the ways to search for PR firms in the U.S. According to the author, a PR firm is advantageous for an organization as it could create communication that will have impact on external audiences and that it could offer professionals specialized services in dealing with the media. Among the key points cited in searching for a PR firm includes understanding what you need which refers to a firm that has the ability to identify the desired communication outcomes, get referrals which could be done by communicating with other firms regarding ones experiences, and consider the size of the agency.
