ABSTRACT
The article focuses on past news in the chemical industry. In July 1986, ICI Americas has taken full control of its 50:50 Katalco catalyst joint venture with Nalco. The deal allows ICI to expand its Great Britain-based catalysts and technology business into North America. In July 1996, Borealis said it was close to an agreement with the Omani government to build a joint-venture olefins complex.
