ABSTRACT
With so many biographical and critical works available in most libraries, it is often difficult for students to know which sources relate to their specific needs, or for general readers to know which biographies interest them the most. The periodical "The Research Guide to Biography and Criticism" has been designed to assist students in narrowing and researching topics for term papers and essay exams, and to provide librarians with a tool which will help them lead students to valuable, accessible resources. With clear content description and exact bibliographical information for every book reviewed, it is much easier to locate the needed resources in other libraries. The contents were compiled with the assistance and advice of some three hundred university professors and librarians. Beacham Publishing is continually interested in producing books which are devoted to improving the research capabilities of students.
