ABSTRACT
The article profiles Frank Sotomayor, who has been named senior fellow of the Annenberg's Institute for Justice and Journalism of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Sotomayor, who worked for 35 years at the "Los Angeles Times," is an adjunct professor and writing coach. He was writer and coeditor on the series "Latinos in Southern California" in 1984, which gave the Times the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. According to Steve Montel, director of the Institute for Justice and Journalism, Sotomayor is a longtime leader of efforts to bring racial diversity news to the media.
