ABSTRACT
The article discusses the role of city and state boards and commissions in Alaska. The application forms for Anchorage municipal and state positions can be found on their respective Web sites. Applications are reviewed, and a list is compiled and provided to the mayor. The major difference between the two groups, is that boards are primarily regulatory and commissions are mostly advisory.
