ABSTRACT
The article reports on Milpitas, California-based Globalstar Inc.'s opening of its sixth North American satellite ground station or gateway. This gateway is located in Wasilla, and provides access to ground-based public telephone and data networks, along with activating data customers' multi-mode satellite phones and data modems with a local 907 Alaska area code.
