The article focuses on the concerns over the increasing incidents of personal employee and customer data vulnerable to physical and computer-based theft at the Marion County Clerk of the Circuit Court in Ocala, Florida. Clerks of the court must automatically redact Social Security numbers and similar data from public records. To comply with the mandate, the Marion County Clerk decided to begin redacting data from existing documents.
