The article reports that private equity giant First Reserve Corp. has teamed up with Nabors Industries Inc. to form an oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) joint venture that is called NFR Energy. The creation of NFR brings Nabors beyond its existing business line which presents fewer reinvestment opportunities than E&P. E&P is closely tied to natural gas prices.
