ABSTRACT
The article presents information on issues related to illegal immigration in the U.S. The illegal immigration is one of the key issues in the 2006 Congressional elections in the U.S. According to a report, the number of unauthorized immigrants was close to 10.5 million in January 2005. In May 2006, a sweeping immigration reform measure was passed by the Georgia legislature to restrict the illegal immigration.
