ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Judge Maxine Chesney in the patent infringement case between electronic design automation rivals Synopsys and Magma Design Automation. Chesney denied the request by Synopsys for a preliminary injunction. The judge reminded that if a premature statement is filed by the patent owner, it will not be acknowledged in making the determination.
