This article talks about the EV-DO technology in laptops. Cingular Wireless, Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel offer embedded high-speed wireless in laptops corresponding to their latest technology releases. Laptop suppliers say that for them to remain competitive, offering an embedded high-speed wireless option, whether EV-DO or high-speed downlink packet access, is required.
