ABSTRACT
The article reports that European Commission Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrott has called for financial regulation on the trans-European transport network to be adopted as soon as possible. The railroad network project has a budget of €8 billion for 2007-2013. Barrott believed that the Finnish government would recommend raising the maximum co-financing rate for the projects by 10%-30% to stimulate a start on the work.
