ABSTRACT
The article provides information on an agreement between Venezuela and Iran to develop a petrochemicals joint venture. A series of bilateral deals, signed in Caracas by Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez and Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, bolster the countries' intention to cooperate in oil and gas. As well as oil, gas and petrochemicals, the agreements cover cars, steel, cement, medicines and plastics.
