This article focuses on the dependency of Indian energy companies on oil imports from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, according to the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India. India imports oil and petroleum products worth $27.5 billion every year. The GCC is made up of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
