ABSTRACT
The article presents an update on environmental affairs in the chemical industry. FormaCare is organizing a series of company best-practice events to discuss scientific arguments and learn more about formaldehyde safety in production processes. According to the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, there is evidence that styrene could cause cancer in humans. A joint declaration on climate change has been adopted at the sixth Asia-Europe Meeting in Finland.
