ABSTRACT
The article reports that small U.S. chemical producers have improved security since the September 2001 terrorist attacks and support a federal mandate for plant protection. Rob McArver, government relations director for the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association, said that small producers had kept pace with larger firms in adopting measures to protect facilities from possible terrorist attacks.
