ABSTRACT
The article presents an anecdote about the depositors of the Trade Bank & Trust Co. which supplies lefthanded checkbooks to its left-handed depositors in New York City. According to the bank's director of business development Robert A. Halpern, they were the only bank in the city with left-handed checkbooks. Halpern explains that if a left-hander writes a check in a right-handed checkbook, he must hold the book down in the middle with his right hand and cross over with his left.
