ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the expansion plans of the chain of convenience stores, Open Pantry Food Marts in the U.S. According to Robert A. Buhler, CEO, their new store in Wisconsin is designed to have the convenience store customer slow down. The expansion will be done using revenue generated from the proceeds of 10 non-strategic locations that are being sold. The for-sale units don't fit the store's vision of how a convenience store will look in the future, although the proposition is profitable.
