ABSTRACT
The article reports on the demand of bio-diesel producers in India for a reduction in duty on imported raw materials used in the production. R. Mansinghka, promoting member of the Bio-diesel Producers Association, says that duty on imported raw material used in bio-diesel for manufacturing units should be brought down by the government. He also mentions that the cost of producing a liter of bio-diesel is 45 rupees.
