ABSTRACT
The article presents a discussion on overcoming obstacles to the adoption of national health information system in the U.S. When asked about his interest on electronic health record, physician Gifford Boyce-Smith of Blue Shield of California cites the redesigning of the information technology medical ground connectives. Physician Tom Eberle of Intel Corp. comments on the most important possible outcome of the application of electronic health record to consumers and information.
