ABSTRACT
The article reports on the rise in financial estimates by Lehman Brothers Managing Director Tim Luke for Intel Corp. for the third quarter of 2006. While Intel itself has stopped providing mid-quarter updates, Luke said that he is expecting third quarter sales of $8.7 billion, up 9 percent sequentially, and earnings per share of 17 cents. But even as Intel is poised for higher revenues in the quarter, AMD continues to gain share with key original equipment manufacturers in the server space, Luke believes.
