ABSTRACT
The article reports on the installation of a bridge section by Cardi Corp. on the Interstate 195 bridge in Providence, Rhode Island. The move is part of an $85-million contract secured by the company to replace the I-95 and I-195 interchange. The bridge was built off site at a former naval station in Quonset. Mammoet has supplied transporters--steel platforms mounted on multiple sets of wheels using independent hydraulic suspensions to maintain level.
