Pier 1 Imports says it's talking with Icelandic retailer Lagerinn

The article reports on the statement of Pier 1 Imports Inc. that is negotiating with an Iceland-based Lagerinn ehf which may result to a possible business transaction, but have not disclosed what such deal might be in Fort Worth, Texas. Lagerinn already has 9.8 percent stake of Pier 1 and earlier this 2006, it had bought the Pier Retail Group Ltd. in Great Britain. Moreover, the company said it had spoken to Langerinn's management and two parties have reached a confidentiality agreement.
