ABSTRACT
The article presents a study conducted by G.F. Strippoli, M.C. Craig, F.P. Schena and J.C. Craig on the role of Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE) inhibitors in diabetic nephropathy. The random-effects model using meta-analysis revealed that ACE inhibitors were more efficient in preventing the onset of microalbuminuria. The study showed ACE inhibitors delay the start of microalbuminuria in diabetic patients without nephropathy.
